Tim, you would still utilize a pool filter. This is a sanitation system so you don't have to buy, add, or handle any more chlorine, shock, or algaecide. Maintenance of this system is minimal - essentially just make sure it is set to the right output and like any pool checking your water chemistry regularly. You will eventually replace the copper electrode in this system's cell, which is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. Give us a call at 866-766-5243 if you have more questions!
