I have an above ground pool that is 18ft round and 4.5 deep. I only have the "cheap" filter that comes with those types of pools. I am just hearing about the salt water system and very interested in purchasing one. I don't know where to begin. Can you help? View answer

The inner plastic ring on my CMP 540 has several cracks around the perimeter causing water to leak out of the housing. The salt generator is working fine. Is there a way to replace the plastic "cap" without replacing the entire cell? View answer

does the placement height matter in relation to the height of the filter and or heater inlet and outlet? Some chlorinators state the chlorinator must be higher than the heater filter inlet /outlet. My current tablet feeder is low on the equipment pad and I am looking to convert to a salt water pool. With that in mind, can this chlorinator take the place of my tablet feeder? I had the notion that a pool salt water chlorine generator would actually deplete dissolved salt when creating free chlorine and it counterpart ion HClO3) Hypochlorus acid . Is the salt (NaCl) actually consumed without returning to it prior state as salt? Since temperature might play a part in chlorine adn/or salt consumption, what is the range of expected salt consumption per 1000 gallons or pool capacity in a hot climate like Palm Springs (summer vs winter). 3200 ppm of salt is supposed to be the ideal concentration, to maintain the salt pool, right? Online, no one seems to address the salt consumption rate issue in Q and A's View answer
