The AutoPilot PPM chlorinators offer an optional "pump relay" kit allowing a one- or two-speed pump to be controlled and powered by it. Since variable speed pumps include their own digital control units and are always supplied with power the Pool Pilot pump relay kit is not needed and is not compatible with variable speed pumps.
AutoPilot does not specify whether the optional relay kit is usable for devices other than pumps.
