If you are using a CircuPool TJ-16 Typhoon Pre-Filter in conjunction with a DE filter you can choose between using either the Bypass Valve Assembly Kit or you can use the Inline Bypass Tube. The Bypass Valve Assembly allows you to leave the TJ-16 in place when recharging the DE, while the Inline Bypass Tube is temporarily connected in place of the TJ-16 when recharging the DE filter. A third option is to create your own plumbing bypass arrangement to accomplish the same results and functionality of the Bypass Valve Assembly.
