This cell is fully compatible with any software revision level as long as the cell you are replacing is a T-15 (T-Cell-15) size. It is plug-and-play. The only question of checking the software on a Hayward is if you are changing to a different size cell for some reason - to see if it has that option. Otherwise it is no concern.
