Yes, it comes with instructions to easily set it for operation on 110V. A salt system's lifespan will ultimately depend on how hard you run it (so buying a bigger system is always better), but on average you can typically use the warranty length as a good gauge for lifespan. Cells for this model are $349; when you finally replace it, you can count on even more years of not buying chlorine at that lower price.
