We ship the items to your door. For installation, you'll want someone with basic skills and who has been given the product manual, and it is usually 1-2 hours of work. The overall process is 1) cutting & gluing a short section of plastic PVC pipe, 2) connect a set of wires, 3) pouring a certain number of bags of salt into the pool. We often recommend a local handyman, or plumber / electrician, who can be more qualified and less expensive than a pool service in some circumstances.
