I have a variable speed pump. I know this has a flow switch. Am I able to leave power on to the unit 24/7 and when the pump turns on, the chlorinator will work and when the pump is off, it will "shut off" and not cause damage?

Yes, the Flow Switch on a CircuPool SJ-A Series Salt Chlorinator allows you to provide live power to the Chlorinator and rely on the Flow Switch to turn chlorine generation on or off along with the pump coming on or going off. However, you can always use a timer to provide added protection beyond the Flow Switch.
