I have an above ground pool, my current pump has a regular plug but according to the SJ-35A system, they both have to be hard wired into a timer. Can I not purchase a plug for the SJ-35A to plug into a timer or do I have to have my pump cord changed?

Actually, you can add a plug to the bare wire ends of the SJ35A and simply plug it in. The flow switch will prevent the control module from energizing the salt cell until it detects an adequate flow of water through the system. When the pump is not running you will see a red Flow light on the front panel.
