If you currently have a T-Cell-3, this is 100% compatible whatever the software revision in your system. If you don't have a T-Cell-3, you would not want to downgrade.
Is this cell compatible with version 1.4 Aqua Rite controller??? Your description does not specify. All that I have found call for version 1.5 Replacement W3 T-CELL-3 Turbo Cell for Hayward® AquaRite® (AQR3) Salt Cells
