While the CircuPool SJ-55A uses "self-cleaning" technology which reduces the frequency of cleaning, it will periodically require manual cleaning too.
As the manual indicates on pages 12 and 13, the cell can be cleaned either with the supplied cleaning wand or by acid washing.

Please clean the cell as needed according to the guidelines in the manual.
Note that the clear housing on an SJA series chlorinator allows you to easily see the cell's condition.
