I have a 20000 gal inground pool. To convert to saltwater will I have to drain any water because of the chemicals or is that not an issue? Thank you.

No, if everything is currently balanced in the pool, you do not need to drain the water at all. You'll just install the system with your other pool equipment, and then add the amount of salt it calls for directly in to your pool.
