This aftermarket cell will fit and work fine. There are no compatibility issues.
I have a pool that was installed around 2008 (bought the house after it had been here several years) which has a Hayward Goldline AquaRite Salt system that currently has a T-CELL-15 40,000 gallon pool cell installed. The firmware version is r 1.40.
