So when the time clock and pool are off, the control module shuts off too?Also my control module is mounted in direct sunlight and exposed to weather. Is the self contain unit ok or need to be in an additional inclosure?If I double the pool gallons to select the size of the generator is this enough?

Yes, saltwater chlorinators are normally installed so they get turned on and off at the same time as the pump. This is outdoor equipment and you actually should not enclose it. And yes, if you select a saltwater chlorinator listed for twice the amount of water than your pool holds, that is a safe way to ensure you'll have enough sanitation power.
