These can turn with either pipe size. For 1.5 you would just use the appropriate adapters.
My pool is plumbed with 1.5 inch pipes. Only 3 returns & 1 skimmer. Can I step a 1.5 HP down from 2” to 1.5” pvc? Currently running a 1 HP Hayward super pump CircuPool SmartFlo® Variable Speed Pool Pump - 1.7 THP Pumps
