Variable speed pumps need constant power so that their onboard controls can run their scheduled program (what you set, or the default program it comes with)
My current pump is wired to an Intermatic time clock that shuts off all power at night. Does this variable speed pumps need power to retain programming? Thanks,John CircuPool SmartFlo® Variable Speed Pool Pump - 1.7 THP Pumps
