The industry standard is to get a system with a maximum capacity of at least 1.5x - 2x your pool size. However, pool size is one factor. The climate, typical pool use, and other related factors influence the amount of chlorination capacity you need. Overall "bigger is better" typically as a bigger system will work less hard to do the job (and last longer) and then can be turned up if pool issues arise in order to create more chlorine more quickly to help correct issues.
