This is the latest model. It works on a broad range of salinity, so you only have to worry about it getting too low and adding another bag of salt to the pool. Across all brands, many older models with readings give inaccurate numbers when the cell is dirty, old, or for other reasons. With any salt system, it is always best practice to do a quick check of the pool's salinity yourself (like with a cheap test strip) just to verify that your pool has gotten enough rain that it finally does need more salt.
