Just like your other pool equipment you just want to make sure that you prevent damage from occurring due to water inside of it freezing and causing damage by expanding, that will vary by region. Some people choose to take their pool equipment inside during the winter, and for this model you can use its winter cap to easily remove it from the plumbing.
