I have a jandy salt chlorianator and the cells do not last more than 2-3 seasons due to high calcium build up--despite cleanings--Does this newer salt generator last longer and have fewer issues with calcium build up since very frustrated with the short life-span? thx

Heavy/frequent calcium build up indicates a "high saturation index" water balance - that is chemistry level that causes more or less mineral scaling. Longevity is based on the cell lifespan as well as the sizing - compare this model's chlorine output to your current one. The more powerful the system, the less hard it has to work to do the job, which causes less wear-and-tear and longer lifespan.
