How does the control panel do in the direct sunlight? I am in Texas and the UV can really mess up these key pads. Is there a cover than I can put over it to protect it?

These models are designed to be outdoors in the rain and sun. Additionally, the CORE Series has a IP-66 Rating, which is one of the highest levels of outdoor protection.
