The provided power cable will not be long enough to reach my timer box. How would you recommend extending it to be hard-wired to the timer box?

It is not uncommon for a customer to shorten or lengthen their power cord to fit their requirements. Any modification of this kind though, should be performed or supervised by someone both knowledgeable and qualified in such a task.
