The Apex "P" Series of Aftermarket Replacement Cells, including the P40 model, can receive power from a Pentair automation system, but changing settings on the cell can only be performed via the cell's attached control module. Because of this, changing between the pool and spa modes through the automation system will not alter the operation of the Apex cell.
