Can your Pentair IC40 replacement cell be installed vertically? Is there an advantage or disadvantage to doing so?

The APX PERFORMANCE P40 Aftermarket Replacement Cell can be installed vertically. However, these cells are "directional" with a designated direction for the water to flow through the cell. Since the keypad and display can't be re-oriented (rotated), the cell needs to be positioned so that the water flows upwards through the cell or the readout on the display will be upside down.
