EDGE chlorine generators are commonly used on permanently installed above ground pools. The main considerations for above ground pools would be to determine if you need plumbing adapters (it comes with 2" slip PVC fittings) and to determine how you'll hook it up to power (it comes with an unterminated power cord to hook up to the same circuit as the pump).
