There is no performance difference if the system uses 110 or 220. The EDGE also can auto-convert the voltage, so you don't need to reconfigure anything on the unit.
I know the Core is designed to be plugged into an outlet. Where I am mounting my Edge40 I have 120V off the same power source as the pump, any disadvantage to not using 220V off the pump breaker?
