That wouldn't be something that is normally done. Salt chlorinators are only labelled to be used with sodium chloride. Attempting to use something else would definitely be "off-label" use, if it works at all.
I use this unit on the lowest setting for my salt water(NaCL)hot tub and it works great! I’m considering switching to bromine due to my wife’s skin sensitivity. Will it generate bromine if I flush the system and add the sodium bromide? If so, where would I buy It(NaBr)? Thanks CircuPool Universal25 Salt Chlorine Generator Salt Chlorinators
