Absolutely, you can install the CircuPool Universal 25, indeed any salt chlorinator, on a pool with a heater. However, the chlorinator must be installed after any other device including the heater so that the salt chlorinator is the last thing the water goes through before returning to the pool. In addition, you should install a Check Valve between the heater and the salt chlorinator to prevent back flow of concentrated, chlorinated water to the heater.
