My control panel makes a high-pitched noise and or buzzing sound. I will turn off system then immediately turn it back on and the sound goes away for a period of time (sometimes 10 mins-sometimes hours). what could be causing noise and how to correct?

There is a fan inside which could make noise if something like dirt or debris is obstructing it. Another possibility is if the screws that hold the large transformer inside have gotten loose, its subtle vibration could cause noise. If you don't have those skills to investigate, make sure only someone who is qualified to troubleshoot those things does that.
