1 Remove plant matter and debris from pool
2 Check filter pressure and backwash/clean as necessary
3 Balance water, esp. pH and TA
4 Adjust CYA level to 30-50 ppm
5 Turn on pump and filter, setting for round-the-clock operation, and turn on SWCG at the routine output setting
6 Add 2 gallons of Liquid Chlorine per 10,000 gallons
7 Brush all pool surfaces multiple times
8 Test and rebalance daily
9 Clean/backwash filter if pressure exceeds 8 psi above baseline
10 When Free Chlorine drops to 5ppm, evaluate clarity of water, cleanliness of pool surfaces, and whether Combined Chlorine has come below 0.2 ppm
11 If any of those three are not satisfactory, go back to Step 6
12 Treat pool with Phosphate Remover per product instructions paying particular attention to cleaning/backwashing the filter (usually) two days later
