A cell doesn't go bad if stored. It only gets wear-and-tear as it is being used to generate chlorine.
I just bought the entire system, I’m wondering if storing a replacement salt cell is ok or problematic because it could be stored for 3-7 years maybe longer cuz I bought an oversized 1 ? CircuPool® RJ-60 PLUS Replacement Cell Salt Cells
