Replacing a Pentair IC40. Should i use a CircuPool Universal40 Salt Chlorine Generator or a SJ40? Is the Universal a direct physical replacement(no plumbing changes?)

Use the SJ40 with it's adapter kit ($9.99) to replace your pentair ic40. That will let it be a drop in replacement, and operation will be very familiar. The universal40 is design to replace Hayward aquarite systems and would require replumbing.
