Any salt system can be used with an automation system if it has a flow switch (this one does) or if you hook it up to the same circuit as the pump so they get turned on and off together. If on the other hand you want a data connection (not very relevant when it comes to a salt system since it needs such infrequent adjustment), you're typically locked in to that brand.
