No, like most salt chlorinators you will use an external timer that you can get at the hardware store to turn your pump and salt chlorinator on and off together. If you had an above-ground pool system like the AquaTrol with an analog clock timer on it, it is worth getting a higher spec unit like this one and just adding an independent timer.
