This system will not connect with a RS485 data cable. However, like other non-Jandy equipment, it is easy to set it up so that it runs automatically everyday with your pump on its own, and you typically only need to make seasonal adjustments on the salt system's controller. Unlike a heater, pool lights, etc... a salt system pretty much needs to do the same thing every day and doesn't have as big of a benefit of creating a remote data cable connection to it.
