This model is very commonly used with variable speed pumps. The ideas is that with any model salt system, you just have to ensure that the lowest pump speed that you program your pump for is enough to keep your pool plumbing filled with water so that air/gas doesn't build up in the cell. This is not typically a problem for most people's equipment setup.
