I have an above ground pool that is 18ft round and 4.5 deep. I only have the "cheap" filter that comes with those types of pools. I am just hearing about the salt water system and very interested in purchasing one. I don't know where to begin. Can you help? View answer

I take it this unit (Umiversal 40) will replace a Jandy and be more than efficient on a 30,000 gallon pool or would I be better off choosing the upgraded R30 to R45? what controls the pump? Is the pump cycled by the same customer supplied timer that energizes the sanitizer? Or does the sanitizer control the pump during the sanitizer cycle, reducing run time on the pump? View answer

I have been given the task of choosing a salt chlorine generator for our pool since I want to convert to salt water. I don't want to make a mistake and I am not knowledgeable in this area. With that said, after much research I am choosing the CircuPool RJ Plus, but I am not 100% sure which model. We live in North Florida and our 25k gallon pool is in a partially shaded area. It warms up, but never gets too hot like our previous fully exposed pool. Which model should I get, the 30 or 45? View answer

I wonder about how long a unit would have to run to provide adequate chlorination?For example, I have an 18,000 gallon inground pool with a single stage 1 1/2 HP pump, if I was to purchase the sj-40 (or even the sj-55) how long would it have to run per day to keep the pool chlorinated?
